My Heart is Full

March 8, 2015 - I worshipped with the believers of Grace Baptist Church this morning.

They meet together on the 8th floor of a building in the middle of steamy, noisy, busy, downtown Yangon. We sang together, preached, shared the Lord's Table and a rice porridge meal together after the service. As we finished sharing the Lords table, we sang this song. I know I didn't get the pronunciations right, but my heart was full and I'm pretty sure God understood me along with my Tedim singing brothers and sisters. Maybe these words can sink down deep in your soul today too ... "I gave, I gave My life for thee, what hast thou given for Me?"

I Gave My Life for Thee

by Frances Havergal

I gave my life for thee, My precious blood I shed, That thou might ransomed be, and quickened from the dead I gave, I gave My life for thee, what hast thou given for Me? I gave, I gave my life for thee, what hast thou given for me?

My Father's house of light, My glory circled throne

I Ieft for earthly night, for wanderings sad and lone; I left, I left it all for thee, hast thou left aught for Me? I left, I left it all for thee, hast thou left aught for Me?

I suffered much for thee, more than thy tongue can tell, Of bitterest agony, to rescue thee from hell. I've born, I've born it all for thee, what hast thou borne for Me? I've born, I've born it all for thee, what hast thou borne for Me?

And I have brought to thee, down from My home above, Salvation full and free, My pardon and My love; I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee, what hast thou brought to Me? I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee, what hast thou brought to Me?
